There are many ways of stripwashing. The simplest way is:
1. Wash it using dish washing liquid (Sunlight)
2. Rinse with warm water
3. Sun dried.
Some other ways:
1. Wash cds in water+ soda bicarbonate
2. Rinse them with distilled white vinegar (cuka)
3. Rinse with warm water and dried under hot sun.

CLOTH DIAPERS PREWASH
You've received your cds and excited to try it on your babies but WAIT!
Before you can use it you have to prewash it, at least 3 times for microfleece & microfiber material and 6 to 10 times for bamboo. Whoaaa...that's too long to wait.
1. For better absorption. Here's an example, you bought a new nice colourful towel and use it straight away after shower. How's the absorption? ZERO! You body is still wet regardless how hard you rub the towel to dry it.
Same goes to the cds. More you wash, better the cd's absorption.
2. Bamboo has it's own oil that reduce its absorption, thus, you have to get rid of the oil.
Ok, I know you can't wait to use that CD...you may wash it 2 or 3 times only but you need to change them very frequent.. as you go along (change, wash, chang wash) you'll get the absorptions you need.

How To Use The Cloth Diapers?
One Size Pocket Diaper
It has 2 components:
The Cover - usually made of PUL (Polyurethane laminate) that is most common material used in cloth diapers product. Apart from PUL, other material used as cloth diaper outer layer is Minky (soft and furry fabric). These waterproof materials are lined with fabrics, either micro fleece, micro suede, bamboo fleece or bamboo charcoal.
The Insert - its function is to absorb water so, baby bum will not soaked in pee. Various material of insert, micro fiber, bamboo, bamboo charcoal, hemp, bamboo cotton. Just to name a few.
All-In-One (AIO)
This type of diaper has insert sewn together to the cover. Similar to pocket diaper but without pocket (hope you catch it). The insert is on the cover itself and directly in contact with your baby bum.
All - In Two (AI2)
For me, this diaper is handy for frequent travellers. Why? For this type of diaper, all you need to do is to change the insert only. Therefore, you don't need to bring a lots of cds while travelling and can save up some more space for other needs. Use back the cover after you replace the insert (unless if the cover stained with poo or pee).

Ice Breaking To Cloth Diapers
What Is Cloth Diaper?
- An alternatives way to diapering, upgraded
version of old style nappy.
- Made of fabrics, washable and reusable. Cloth diapers are now trending in modern lifestyle.
- Various types of cloth diapers are in market as example AIO (All In One), AI2 (All In Two), Pockets or One Size, Fitted and Cover
- Most of cloth diapers can fit newborns to toddler, weight ranging from 3kg – 17kg.
Why Cloth Diaper?
Environmental
Friendly
- A study has shown that disposable diapers produced seven times solid waste when discarded.
- Discarded disposable diapers increase burden to landfill sites, contaminates water and cause disease.
- Almost 50% of household waste are disposable diapers (house of a child)
Health
- Disposable diapers are also linked to health issue that may cause severe irritant or rashes to babies
- Very often, discarded diapers were seen lying around a dump site, riversides or seaside. This may spread the bacteria to the air and water.
Cost Efficiency
Let’s do a bit of math here:
Assume:
Daily usage of disposable diapers (DD): 7
pcs
Cost for a piece of DD (Average): RM 0.60
Therefore,
RM 0.60 x 7 pcs =RM 4.20 per day.
Now,
Let see how much you drain off your money
on DD per year:
RM 4.20 x 365 days = RM 1,533
And how much would it be after 2 1/2 years:
RM 1,533 x 2 1/2 years: RM 3,832 for a
baby.
Move on to calculate the cost of cloth
diapers (CD):
Let’s buy the economic CD:
1 CD cost: RM 26
7 CDs costs: RM 182 –spent on a kid for 2 ½
year ?!
I must be kidding right? No, you are wrong.
The figure is correct.
Can you see the difference? ;)
Savings in 3 years:
RM 182 (CD) Vs RM 3,832 = RM 3,650
You still have a lot of saving even if you
can’t resist to get your lil’ ones another packs of charming CDs ;)
Well, you might have a doubt…those CDs can
lasts up to 2 ½ years meh?
Listen here, darlin’..anything can lasts
forever if you take a good care of them.
